Lemon Garlic Butter Pasta

This is a super easy and quick pasta recipe, perfect for weekday dinner for those who work and want something simple! Though it has a lot of butter, because of the lemon, it tastes pretty light and refreshing too. This is one of my go-to pasta recipes when I’m feeling lazy. Also, I always have frozen peas in my freezer because it adds so much flavor and texture to any pasta dishes!


Ingredients (2 servings)

5 slices of bacon, chopped

4 tablespoons of butter

8-10 garlic cloves, sliced

1 teaspoon of chili flakes

5 tablespoons of frozen peas

2 servings of pasta noodles (can be any kind, your choice!)

1/2 lemon

Pinch of salt & pepper


Instructions

  1. Cook your pasta noodles for 2 minutes less than what the instructions say. We will be cooking the pasta a bit more with the sauce later, so this is to prevent your pasta noodles from being overcooked. Set aside 1/2 cup of pasta water and drain the noodles.

  2. In a pan, first melt the butter, then add the garlic slices.

  3. Then add the bacon and chili flakes.

  4. Once the bacon pieces are all cooked, add the frozen peas.

  5. Once the frozen peas are cooked, add the pasta noodles, 1/2 cup of pasta water, and juice of 1/2 lemon.

  6. Add salt & pepper to your liking.

  7. Serve and Enjoy!
